Description

Maden Street Mud Flat 2 is located on the west coast Cunda Island at Ayvalık Municipality. It is a mudflat covering an area of 1 ha. It is a tidal wetland flooded seasonally. Although being accessible by land, no human activity was observed and the original landform is in good condition, especially the Frigana vegetation in the catchment area. 1140 Mudflats and sandflats not covered by seawater at low tide is the main habitat type, covering %76-95, following 119A Soft substrata without vegetation with %5-25, 5420 Sarcopoterium spinosum phryganas with <%5 and 1410 Mediterranean salt meadows (Juncetalia maritimi) with <%5 coverage.
